iPod Nano’s Evolution: Make Up Your Mind, Apple

The fourth generation brought a total of nine colors to the lineup — black, silver, purple, green, light blue, yellow, orange, red and pink — called “nano-chromantic.”

With arsenic-free glass and a promise to be “highly recyclable,” some believed it was the most environmentally friendly Apple product to date.

The interface of this nano was updated, and Apple products of this generation added the “Genius” feature, which created playlists based on previous music selections.
