Motorola plans a September 5th event in NYC, possible Droid Razr HD unveiling?

Earlier today, Motorola began sending out press invitations to an event taking place in New York City on September 5.  The text on the invitation above reads “Motorola. On Display. Join us for the day’s main event.”

Naturally, many believe the event will see the introduction of the Motorola Droid Razr HD (the inevitable follow up to the popular Droid Razr).  There have been a couple of conflicting reports on whether Motorola would introduce a Maxx version of the Droid Razr HD, so we will pay close to attention to the event and see what Motorola has to say.

Of course, there is the chance that the Google owned company will take a completely different turn and announces something different altogether.  The invitation includes the Verizon Wireless logo, so it is safe to say whatever is announced will likely operate on Big Red’s 4G LTE network.

We’ll follow up on September 5th and report on all of the information revealed at the press conference.
